Shockform, in partnership with MTU Aero Engines, designed and developed the Spiker® to provide a tool that allows technicians to carry out shot peening repairs directly on the turbine, without prior disassembly of the blade, stage or any another time-consuming element.
The Spiker® controls all process parameters and makes it possible to intervene rapidly and without the risk of leaving FOD in the engine. By limiting disassembly / reassembly, considerable time saving can be achieved
